ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced data analyst to lead Noda’s internal analytics work, identifying and powering insights and reporting that drive strategy, key decisions and client meetings across the company. We're looking for someone with strong business acumen and technical expertise. A team member who is excited to wear multiple hats to drive impact at a fast-growing startup.
As a member of the Product team, this person will play a critical role in contributing to Noda’s mission to turn buildings into a force for positive change, powering a more efficient, more sustainable world. They will work directly with stakeholders and executives to understand business needs; build key dashboards and strategic insights; and build the data models and other foundational tools to drive data self-service.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Define and automate key metrics across Noda’s business lines to measure and drive business performance and identify actions to drive further impact
- Build client-facing reports and prototype product reporting features to tell the story of Noda’s impact on energy efficiency and prioritize actions to drive further impact
- Build data models to power Noda’s dashboards, analytics, and broader data self-service
- Implement and train stakeholders on Noda’s BI tools to enable everyone in the business to use data day-to-day
- Build strong, proactive relationships with stakeholders to identify opportunities, define problem statements, and scope requirements
- Define and prioritize an ongoing analytics roadmap
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- 5+ years in data analytics, data science, analytics engineering, or related field
- Demonstrated track record of driving decisions with data, developing actionable dashboards and metrics, and conducting insightful exploratory data analysis
- Strong expertise in SQL; knowledge of Python a plus
- Strong familiarity with dbt and an understanding of data modeling best practices
- Experience with a range of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Lightdash)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including experience working with senior business leaders
- Comfort working in a dynamic, evolving environment.
