About the Role
As an Account Executive (AE) focused on energy solutions, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of our business by acquiring new clients and expanding relationships within existing accounts. You will identify key opportunities, engage with stakeholders, and sell Noda’s suite of energy solutions, including advanced analytics and remote monitoring. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven sales professional to help shape the future of energy management in smart buildings.
What you’ll be doing
Business Development: Proactively identify, target, and engage prospective clients, primarily in the hospitality and commercial real estate sectors, to build a robust pipeline of opportunities.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve or exceed revenue targets, focusing on both pilot projects and larger corporate-level expansions.
Client Engagement: Conduct discovery calls, product demonstrations, and presentations to educate prospects on the benefits of Noda's energy solutions. Tailor solutions to meet client needs, addressing pain points such as energy efficiency, cost reduction, and sustainability.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including Directors of Property Operations, General Managers, and sustainability professionals.
Deal Closing: Lead the sales process from prospecting through to contract negotiation and closing, with a focus on delivering small net new deals and scaling successful pilots to larger opportunities.
Collaboration: Work closely with engagement managers, our internal building experts, operations and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and customer onboarding.
Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and the evolving landscape of energy solutions to position Noda’s offerings effectively.
What you will need
- Experience: 3+ years of enterprise sales experience, ideally in PropTech, IoT, energy management, or related fields. Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. Experience selling hardware and understanding of how to work with operations teams.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of energy management solutions, building automation, or sustainability initiatives in sectors like hospitality or commercial real estate a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to engage and build trust with diverse stakeholders, from onsite staff to corporate executives.
- Sales Skills: Strong prospecting, multithreading, negotiation, and closing abilities. Experience selling pilot projects with potential for expansion is a plus.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM software (Salesforce preferred), sales enablement tools, Gong, G suite and virtual meeting platforms.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment. Self-motivated, with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Real-estate and Proptech Experience: Proven experience in real estate or proptech, with a strong understanding of industry challenges and enterprise sales cycles.
